Integrating Obok with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

To successfully integrate your AWS account with Obok, please follow these steps. This process involves using CloudFormation to set up the necessary permissions.

Required Permissions:

Before you begin, ensure the AWS account you are using has the following permissions. These are typically included if you are an administrator. If not, you may need to request them or have an administrator perform the setup.

• CloudFormation Permissions:
  • cloudformation:CreateStack
  • cloudformation:UpdateStack
  • cloudformation:DeleteStack
  • cloudformation:DescribeStacks
  • cloudformation:GetTemplate
  • cloudformation:ValidateTemplate
• IAM Resource Permissions (will be created by CloudFormation):
  • iam:CreatePolicy
  • iam:CreatePolicyVersion
  • iam:AttachRolePolicy
  • iam:DetachRolePolicy
  • iam:GetPolicy
  • iam:GetPolicyVersion
  • iam:ListPolicies
  • iam:ListPolicyVersions

Setup Steps:

1. Sign in to the AWS Management Console: Access your AWS account by navigating to https://console.aws.amazon.com/.
2. Launch the Obok CloudFormation Stack: Click the Launch Stack button provided by Obok or use the specific link from our platform.
3. Acknowledge IAM Resource Creation: In the CloudFormation console, you will be asked to acknowledge that AWS CloudFormation might create IAM resources with custom names. Check the box to confirm.
4. Create the Stack: Click Create to initiate the CloudFormation stack creation. This will set up the necessary roles and policies for Obok to access your AWS environment securely.

Final Step: Provide Information to Obok

Once the CloudFormation stack has been successfully created, you will need to provide the following information to Obok:

• AWS Account ID: This is a 12-digit number that uniquely identifies your AWS account.
